El Rum Oasis Project

Since 2020, when funding by the German Research Foundation (DFG) began, “El Rum Oasis Project” is the third sub-project of the research of Münster University in the Wadi Abu Dom. Large-scale excavations as well as landscape archaeological investigations are planned. The project started with excavations at Umm Ruweim.

El Tuweina excavations

The excavations at El Tuweina, the second sub-project of the research activities of Münster University at the Wadi Abu Dom, investigated an elite settlement in the central Bayuda.
